South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has celebrated another major contribution towards his Million Voices initiative after SGS South Africa donated R100,000 to support its mission of fighting period poverty. The contribution marks the campaign’s largest publicly acknowledged donation so far, following an earlier R25,000 donation from Universal Music South Africa.
Nyovest took to social media to express his gratitude to SGS South Africa, acknowledging the company’s support for the initiative and its goal of improving access to essential menstrual products for girls and women who need them.
“A big thank you to SGS South Africa, the world’s leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company, for your contribution towards A Million Voices & our mission to end period poverty. Our biggest contribution so far and we are so grateful.”
He further highlighted how the contribution supports the campaign’s broader objective of helping girls access menstrual products without compromising their education or dignity.
“Your support brings us one step closer to ensuring that more girls have access to essential menstrual products & can continue their education with dignity. Thank you for being part of the change!”

The R100,000 donation follows Universal Music South Africa’s R25,000 contribution to Million Voices in September, making SGS South Africa the latest corporate partner to publicly support the campaign. The initiative continues to seek contributions from organisations and individuals as it works towards its target of reaching one million girls and women.
Launched in July 2026, Million Voices was established by Nyovest to address period poverty in South Africa by helping one million girls gain access to menstrual hygiene products. The rapper has spoken about how learning about the issue prompted him to take action, particularly as a husband and father to a young daughter.
The campaign is being developed in partnership with the Afribiz Entertainment Foundation, which supports its efforts to address period poverty through access to menstrual products and awareness around the challenges faced by girls and women. The initiative aims to raise R100 million towards its broader goal of reaching one million beneficiaries.
Nyovest has also emphasised the importance of educating people about period poverty and encouraging collective involvement rather than treating the campaign as a short-term fundraising challenge.
With SGS South Africa’s latest contribution, Million Voices has secured additional corporate backing for its mission. The donation adds to the support received since the campaign’s launch as Nyovest continues to use his platform to encourage participation in efforts to improve menstrual health access and help girls remain in school.
